We are committed to the environment
The agri-food industry has one of the greatest impacts on natural environments, both upstream due to its needs for agricultural resources, at its production sites, and downstream for the packaging and distribution of products. Goûters Magiques undertakes to limit, on its own scale, its direct and indirect impact on the natural environment.
40,000 km travelled per year thanks to biofuel produced by the methanisation of some of our waste
At Goûters Magiques, we are based in a region that focuses on sustainable development. In partnership with the town of Locminé, we transform some of our industrial waste into biofuel, which powers our logistics shuttle bus over a distance of almost 40,000 km.
To the environment
40,000 km/year is the distance travelled by our shuttle bus running on natural gas produced from the methanisation of our waste
Located in a region that has been committed to sustainable development and renewable energies for many years, Goûters Magiques has forged links with local industrial partners.
Through the Liger project, the town of Locminé and its surrounding area have set up a renewable energy centre, which is unique in both France and Brittany, to strengthen its sustainable development approach and prepare for the future. Local authorities, industrial suppliers of raw materials, heating network customers and some local companies have joined the project to develop renewable energies.
The result of this partnership is the production of biofuel via the methanisation, on the Liger site, of some of the waste from one of our industrial sites. This biofuel powers our logistics shuttle bus, which travels between our platform and the Morbihan production sites several times a day, notching up a distance of almost 40,000 km per year!

A 33-tonne reduction in the amount of plastic needed to package Whaou! crêpes
The group is working to find alternatives to plastic for its primary packaging so that it can continue to reduce its environmental impact.

Packaging progress plan
As the cakes and pastries produced by Goûters Magiques are inherently ready to eat, they require large quantities of plastic for preservation and transport purposes. Aware of the harmful impact of plastic on the environment, the group is working internally on a global packaging progress plan aimed at reducing packaging to the bare minimum and replacing plastic with other more environmentally friendly materials as soon as possible.
Secondary packaging, which is simpler and less essential for preserving products, is the first type of packaging to be reworked in this context.
A specific example with Whaou!
By replacing the secondary packaging of its Whaou! crêpes with paper packs containing 15 or 8 crêpes, the group will be able to reduce the amount of plastic packaging by 14 tonnes as of 2023. Over time, up to 33 tonnes of plastic could be avoided.
This innovation is the result of nearly two years of work by the R&D packaging department and on-site employees to choose the most appropriate material and select the supplier and machines able to guide us through the project.
Since May 2023, we have gradually been adapting our production lines to this new type of packaging, but they can still process plastic packaging in the meantime to ensure an optimal transition and to accommodate all requests.
